Designed by Ezio Didone in the 1970s’ for the Italian lighting powerhouse Arteluce, the Cono lamp is a beautifully simple lamp composed of a blown-glass shade and a light source encased in a plastic component. The huge press-button on the top of the lamp indicates clearly to the user how to turn the device on and off, echoing one of the core principle of good design: Good design makes a product understandable.
