ZENITH lamp by Jean-François Jacques for Météore Design
Description
Additional information
Part of the permanent collection of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Québec (MNBAQ), the Zénith lamp was designed in 1987 by the Quebec designer Jean-François Jacques for the collective Météore Design. The formal qualities of this piece evoke the language of spacecrafts and satellites, in direct lineage with the fascination entertained by the designers of the 1960s for all things space-related. The Zenith remains an important piece of post-modern Canadian design; it is included in Rachel Gotllieb’s book “Design in Canada: Fifty Years from Tea Kettles to Task Chairs”.
In great vintage condition.
