Still in production as of today, the Long John coat stand is timeless piece by the Swedish furniture manufacturer Johanson Design. The peg and ball design of the hooks is characteristic of 1960s’ space age aesthetics and brings to mind classic designs like the Ball clock of George Nelson. The central mast has been professionally refinished with an “orange crush” powder coating.
In great vintage condition, with minor surface wear on the chrome footing.
