The Avant-Garde 2000 collection designed by Giovanni Maur in 1969 for the Quebec manufacturer Treco marked the introduction of the first Canadian furniture collection entirely made using the industrial process of ABS plastic injection-moulding. This piece showcases a rare combination of materials with its base made of smoked acrylic on which sits a MDF top with a rosewood patterned laminate.
In good vintage condition, with minimal wear consistent with age and use. Light scratches on top and base.
